3.Mashed potato and sweet potato & cheese or gravy.
I have found Mash potato to be the most versatile of all mash vegetables, it can be used along with most meats and is complementary to must other vegetables also gravy and sauces. I even like to add some cheese or finely chopped parsley.
I like to add sweet potato as it is becoming a new super food as it is nutritious, taste good and compliments the potato
Ingredients • 2 x Potatoes, medium, not washed, (they are cheaper and good to mash) • ½ x smaller sweet potato • Salt and pepper to taste. Use white pepper it is milder than black. • 2x tablespoon Butter • 50Ml x of milk, full cream • ¼ x cup grated tasty cheese, (optional)

Method
Peel and wash to potatoes, include the sweet potato, then roughly cut into 2cm pieces. Fill saucepan with salted water and bring to a boil. Add white potatoes and boil for 5 minutes then add sweet potato. I do this as white potato cooks slower than sweet potato. Boil for another 15 minutes so they are soft. Drain off all water and add the remainder of ingredients include milk, butter with salt and pepper, if you can tolerate it. Start to mash using manual hand masher as it gives best results, use the masher in a whisk like manner until potatoes are as smooth as you like them. Serve with gravy.
Tip
Serve with another nob of butter and or grated cheese. adding gravy as it makes it smoother to swallow. There might be more than you need so freeze remainder, I use plastic freezer bags with date.
